Sorry folks, my attention span has been placed elsewhere. Mainly Dragon Quest 6. This will be another general update since a lot of shit is hitting the fan in different things.
First Dragon Quest 6 cause it's awesome. My favorite of the series, it has got me hooked something awful. The first day I got it i locked myself in my room and played all day. Second day was close to the same. Eventually I could stop playing for awhile haha. I would say it is the second hardest in the series, with the hardest version being Dragon Warrior 2 on NES (and even its remixes on SNES/GBC). For those looking into Dragon Quest, DQ6 might be a tad harder than you are used to, be aware of that, :X
Now some bad shit hitting the whirling device... my mother is having troubles with her work. After years of being approved for disability to her MS, they are suddenly not saying it is appropriate. They are now trying to make up a position for her in exchange for her signing some document to say she agrees she doesn't have a real disability and the special position would leave her to be laid off saying she is no longer needed (because it is a special position). I don't understand it completely, but she has been trying to get help from the MS communities and asking what she can do, but no one seems to know or care. It's a really depressing thing to see your mother suffer such stress in her life. All this legal mumbo jumbo is flaring up her MS symptoms more. How can a job do this? Ugh...
Makes me paranoid about where my life is going actually. I still don't have a job, and to be honest gotten lazy with sending applications out. I could be doing things for myself that I'm not. I been mainly focusing on video games instead which is just silly, but easier than dealing with my problems. :X Also funny thing, I been working on getting more traffic for my blog but not posting as much as I would like to. Kind of defeats the purpose, heh.
Eh, I think I'm done depressing you all. Bit of a short blurb of what is going on right now and why things haven't been so active here. I'll be catching up on everyone today, so look for me.

Terribly sorry I keep disappearing for some days.
I have been getting into a bunch of different things that just makes me forget/put off posting. :o But now I shall write about said things.
First is the worst: My local arcade shut down. What really blows is I was there on the day before it closed without realizing it, and really didn't get to play much. There is one more arcade left for me to go to for my magic foot dancing games, but it is a bit further away and much more money. At my local arcade, I was given a code so I could play free games on my In The Groove Machine for a dollar; that is, 1 dollar credit had to go in in order to use the code, but as long as there was at least one credit remaining in it, I could play for free. This really fit my budget considering I have so little money.
I've been getting a little carried away with both making a guide for NEStalgia and playing the actual game. Already added links to maps and future puzzles/secret passages to some of the more pain in the ass moments of the game. Speaking of which, my partymate and I hit the max levels, thus slightly boring us. The game is technically still in demo mode so the highest level is 32 (weird number to choose). I could (and have) make new characters but for now I'm taking a little break. A general overview of the game will have to wait.
Falling asleep to Shin Chan DVDs is pretty cool! ...until they affect your dreams. Had one dream where I met up with an old friend of the past and they talked exactly like Shin. Creepy.
I'm very much into Dragon Quest mode right now. Today Dragon Quest 6 DS has come out to North America for the first time! I've already played it in Japanese but it would be nice to see the things I missed that my walkthrough didn't cover, though I heard it already covered a few critical things, such as involving a death of someone. In any case, I have my Dragon Quest 6 game coming to me from Amazon with free two day shipping, but unfortunately their idea of two days is one more than two... Estimated date delivery is this Thursday. I suppose while today is the release date, it isn't to be sold till tomorrow and thus it is accurate, but still is annoying.
Homestuck still going on, but things definitely calmed down. It keeps my interest still, but I resumed back to reading it on weekends now. It's kind of boring when anticipating it every waking second for one frame of comic. Not healthy to let that control my life.
I haven't been job hunting like I should be. I have a few applications but they all are half-filled out. Motivation is definitely not at a premium here. It also doesn't help that I get very demotivated when my family is home. That's my own fault really. I chosen not to be around mom when she is smoking and told her that in hopes to help her realize she needs to stop or at least slow down, maybe even smoke outside like dad has been. But, she won't stop and I now cannot tolerate the stench of the second-hand smoke anymore, even with my shirt over my nose to cover it. Yes, in the past, I would sit in the living room with shirt over my nose just so I could stand to be in the same room as her. My family enjoys teasing me for it but I won't stop that. Smoking bothers me.
With my local arcade gone and best form of cardio work out, perhaps I'll take up jogging if I can get my sleep schedule back in check. Assuming the weather doesn't fuck it all up. last thing I need to to be out jogging and I slip on some ice and fall in such a hilarious way it will go viral on youtube because of some asshole bystander will just happen to be filming. My OCD-like habits have been preventing me from doing things I need to do, like shave and exercise. This is where my stubbornness really limits me.
In any case, that's what's been going on. Next entries I write will either be about a NEStalgia game overview (more like a pseudo-review as it won't be very in-depth), a dream I suddenly have with the next few days, or a stroll down memory lane. I have a memory about a snow day I would love to share as I have shared it so many times.
Oh and it's Valentine's Day. Have some Valentine's Day related art I shamelessly stolen online. :D

I'd be this mad if not distracted by renewed interest in Dragon Quest 9 |

BYOND game: NEStalgia Guide
I decided I will be making a helpful guide for NEStalgia (Note: NOT Nostalgia) as I go through the game. Mainly, the secrets they don't want to be told. They have some general guidelines on their wiki thing, so if you need to know when a spell is learned or what special stat bonuses you can get, that's the place to go. If you wish to gather all the treasure from the secret passages they have, navigate the mazes without trial and error annoyances, and so on, this is where to turn. I did something similar for another BYOND game, Archipelago Remastered by giving away all the recipes you need to know for the game.
This is the original NEStalgia guide! Before the game had a population boom, this was the place to find out where the hidden passages were, or how to solve certain puzzles. While I know a much better site has come along, I still will keep this here in case anyone still wants information. Special thanks to my partymates (seen in some later images) for dealing with my slowness in getting the screen captures. Must have wasted so much of their time, haha.
UPDATE: In progress of making skill tree builds for people. This will be on a separate entry due to constraints with adding more images to this post. Skill tree builds located here.

That was a nice week long break!
Originally was only going to be about 3 days, but then things got me busy, I got lazy, and another assortment of goodness.
The snow has been hammering my hometown something fierce. In the past, my dad used to do all the shoveling while I would help him out on occasion. Then my dad got different job involving him to take "snow duty" so it had to be me doing all the shoveling. My sister for the longest time would only help a little and then make me do the rest. After some years of me telling her to go shovel her own damn car out, she realized it would be beneficial to help. These last few years it has been always her and I shoveling. Mom cannot help because of her MS doing wacky things to her body, she can barely even help with throwing salt down. Instead, she offers to make food or hot chocolate for us (though the offer has stopped and now is upon request). Meanwhile in all these years, we have had upstairs neighbors. 95% of the time, they would never help. This year, however, our upstairs neighbor has been helping us which has made the snow shoveling a little less intimidating.
My sister took pictures of the snow before we shoveled it and sent me them. A lot of her pictures were either really bad or gave away our address/license plates/other identifiable information so I offer you only a few.
Besides impending snow doom and gloom around me, I've also had a rather piss off thing happen last week. So I mentioned in a previous entry about how I lost my Neopets account thanks to someone guessing my password correctly. I was a little sad, but not entirely disappointed with that. However, some month(s) prior to losing my account, I had entered a little contest that one of the Neopets sponsors held on the site to win some "Neocash." I figured why the hell not really. And then... I got an e-mail.
OF COURSE I WIN A CONTEST AFTER LOSING MY ACCOUNT! The good news is the douchebag that took my account won't gets his mits on the cash since it gets mailed to me. The bad news is... I have no use for it. It's weird since I was practically over losing my Neopets account and then this shit happens. What a piss off!
In other news, I finally got back into playing a BYOND game called NEStalgia which I had briefly mentioned in a past entry. A quick summation is the game and programming itself is very good! The player community... sucky. There is Open PVP, which means as soon as you hit level 10, max levels can kill you whenever the fuck they want. I'll go more into detail about that some other time. I just recommend bringing a friend with you and play during low player count times and stay quiet.

Our Porch. |
If sister's phone didn't have such a bad glare, She might have been able to get a better picture. Also, blacked out neighbor's house because of address is on their fucking house. |
Sister's car trapped in snow. |
After we shoveled her car out. Also another look at snow pile. |
